Last night I tried the Umathum Zweigelt. Lovely colour and the aromas of cherries and dark fruits are well balanced with mineral flavours. Pleasure to drink on its own but I feel that it wold have been much better to pair it with some meaty dish or even some meat nibbles. Very impressed with this wine and would highly recommend it. Have to admit that the Austrian wines are gaining more popularity in our household. The task of showing the wines to the remainder of the unknowing consumers is going to be fun.
